Public education serving Ballantrae

Located one mile east of Ballantrae is Sunlake Blvd. and its “academic row”. It offers local children something we think is unique in Florida: quality classes from kindergarten through college in schools located within a mile of each other on the same street!

Children can start at the charter Imagine School for grades K-7, then cross the street when age-appropriate to attend the public Charles S. Rushe Middle School for grades 6-8, move down the street to the public Sunlake High School for grades 9-12 and then enroll next door at Rasmussen College‘s modest campus for post-secondary classes in nursing, health services and business. The schools are relatively new, all having opened since 2006.

Children can also attend K-5 at the public Oakstead Elementary School located 3.4 miles east of Ballantrae. Adults may also opt to take college classes in Pasco County at St. Leo‘s University, 25 miles to the east in Saint Leo, or at Pasco-Hernando Community College in Dade City, 34 miles to the east.

The images below highlight these institutions serving Ballantrae‘s residents. Below each image is a link to its website, as well as a link to a map providing directions to each location.
