The Ballantrae community encompasses 436 acres along State Road 54 in Land O’ Lakes in Pasco County - about one mile east of the Suncoast Parkway and 20 miles north of Tampa and its international airport. Ballantrae is bounded on the west by Suncoast Meadow/Pointe and on the east by Concord Station.
Serving 969 homes, the Ballantrae Community Development District (CDD) is responsible for the financing and maintenance of the community’s infrastructure, including all the community amenities available to our 3,000-plus residents.
The CDD’s tasks include maintenance of more than 80 acres of manicured community lawns and three dozen lakes and ponds, many of them nestled within our six small villages. The Ballantrae CDD’s elected Board of Supervisors is also charged with the maintenance and upkeep of our community center, two pools, our park plus its tennis, volleyball and basketball courts, among other duties.
Ballantrae is an integral part of the fast-growing Pasco County community. Pasco County has seen tremendous growth in the past decade as retail, office and other business expansion works to keep pace with record-breaking increases in Pasco’s residential population. The county’s 1990 population of 281,100 was projected to reach 463,600 in 2010. However, it exceeded 471,000 residents in mid-April 2009. Pasco’s population is projected to reach 566,700 in 2020.
The CDD Board of Supervisors’ goals in offering this web site are to:
- Provide CDD residents with the information they need as interested and concerned members of our community.
- Invite residents to share this site with friends, introducing them to the amenities that we enjoy in the beautiful community in which we proudly choose to live.
- Promote Ballantrae publicly among nonresidents via the photos, graphics and other images we provide of the community we call home.
